Carolynne Muncer

Ms. Carolynne Muncer is the principal at Poplar Ridge School. She was most recently a Learning Services Coordinator with the Learning Services Department, which focuses on curriculum, assessment and instruction within Chinook's Edge. She also lead Indigenous Education and English as a Second Language work for CESD.

Ms. Muncer has been a teacher and school leader for 30 years. She earned her Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Manitoba, a Certificate of School Management and Leadership and a Master of Education in Leadership Studies degree from the University of Victoria. During her career, Carolynne has had the opportunity to teach students from kindergarten to grade 12 and has been a Principal and Vice Principal in elementary, middle and high school settings in Ontario, BC and Alberta.

Ms. Muncer enjoys spending time with her 4 adult children and 10 grandkids, her friends and 2 mini wiener dogs. She loves spending time on the lake and in the outdoors. She is so excited to join the wonderful Poplar Ridge team and looks forward to getting to know all of the students and families that make this school a great place to be!
